Michigan Shepherds Weekend: Know Before You Go

Before joining us at the 2022 Michigan Shepherds Weekend this year, please review a couple of the following important notes! Contact Samantha at samaludl@gmail.com with any questions.

⭐  COVID-19 Protocols
The Shepherds Weekend committee is recommending all members wear masks and to not attend if they are experiencing COVID symptoms. The Crowne Plaza Hotel is asking all unvaccinated patrons to mask up indoors as well.

⭐ Special Request
This year we have a member joining us with a very severe allergy to chemical scents. On Saturday, we are asking everyone, if they are able, to refrain from using any perfumes, colognes, bodysprays, or other heavily scented products.

⭐ Saturday Lunch Options
No lunch will be available on Saturday, January 8th in the Hotel. The restaurant will be closed and no made-to-order buffet will be offered this year. There are many nearby restaurants and eateries available. Several delivery options are available as well, especially through apps such as GrubHub, Uber Eats, and DoorDash. Food from any outside restaurant may be eaten in Ballrooms A, B, and C as well as in the Packard Room during the Ram Session.

⭐ Saturday Afternoon Youth Program
If you have youth members wanting to get YQCA-certified, make sure they sign up online ahead of time at yqca.org. The Saturday tour at MSU has also been canceled, however, all youth are welcome to attend the “Explore the World with Ground Lamb” afternoon session.

⭐  Youth Silent & Live Auctions
Don’t forget your cash and checkbooks for the silent auction! If you are interested in donating any products to the live or silent auction, please bring them to the registration table.

⭐ Photograph & Warm and Wooly Contests
There’s still time to participate in these contests! View the program online or Michigan Shepherds News for more details.
