Michigan State University will be hosting Sheep and Goats for Small Farms on Saturday, March 3 from 9am to 4pm.  We have a great set of speakers lined up this year!  The morning kicks off in 1300 Anthony Hall with Dr. Richard Ehrhardt discussing “Vaccination schedules and practices to improve sheep and goat health”, then Ms. Erica Rogers will talk about “Manure management for small ruminants”, and finally Mr. Mike Metzger will present “Small ruminant meat quality”.

After a delicious lunch break, Ms. Jennifer Dominguez will demonstrate processing a lamb carcass.  Then we head to the MSU Sheep Teaching & Research Center for labs on Growing lamb/kid health and nutrition as well as Body condition scoring.

We anticipate that this event will be fun and informative for a variety of sheep and goat producers, whether starting out or with a number of years of experience.  Registration is $35 per person, which includes lunch and a resource folder.  Other members of the same family may attend for $25.  Register  by FEBRUARY 26 at:
